So, before LIG, Nas said the time was right to release the lost tapes 2,
But of course, it wasn't released. Is it time now, before his next album?
As much, as I want it, I think it should follow his next album but it should include
About 17 or 18 tracks. I am certain he has that much over in the vaults since
Joining Def Jam.

Even if you think Life is Good didnt sell well, you can point to like Fab and the Clipse having their mixtape reissued for retail after low selling studio albums as a case that the majors will sell a known artist's music with something like Lost Tapes.

I think it comes down to time (Dude records a lot, tours a lot and needs an A&R to compile is best of from the vault like they did at Sony), demand (People wanna hear Lost Tapes 2 but back in 2000-2002 it was essiental because in a young digital world not everyone heard the tracks left off I Am which were desirable after people felt like that album would have been better) and just the idea that can you find material that people havent heard.
I imagine if he makes a Lost Tapes 2, it'll feature records we already know from mixtapes and the internet. Hell, I had heard everything off the first Lost Tapes beforehand and that was before people were as online savvy as now. So I bet there's some people who complain about what we heard already being on the album. Some of those other cuts that we've heard about in interviews might not even see the light of day cause of mastering and quality issues.

Sorry but even if life is good is great, just looking at what made the retail and what made the bonus should convince you that Nas can't pick the goods tracks when it comes to close an album. It's not a coincidence that illmatic who is Nas' best sequenced album is not excecuted produced by him. I trust him in making good music, but when it comes to make side musical decison, well he should leave that to others

and thoses songs you talk about are even not finish or not mixed or whatever, if they are complete, believe that they would have been in the internet a long time ago

Ehh, all that is your own personal opinion. I'll trust the legend whose 20 years deep into this genre and who dropped the best album of 2012 (complete with mass critical acclaim and Grammy nominations) to make his own musical decisions and sequence his own albums....

People act like Nas hasn't been doing this SUCESSFULLY for TEN SOLO ALBUMS now. Life Is Good's sequencing was excellent in my opinion and closing the album with Stay, Cherry Wine, and Bye Baby was great. I don't have any complaints about the sequencing of that album, it was a complete body of work...

He needs to get that out though. One would assume that after this album, Nas will go back and work with Damien Marley. We are going to be thirsty for some more Nas material.
