I looked into this 2010 Nissan Maxima with 93k miles on it for $1400 :patrice:I knew it was too good to be true

when I messaged the guy (who was from Arizona) he redirected me to emailing his sister. I emailed his sister saying she moved from Philly to Butte, MT and was selling the car because her husband died...said they would forward my info to eBay motors and they would send me an invoice and confirm shipping the car to my address. I was fooled until I received an email from somebody else with the same backstory (someone died, they moved away, need to ship the car, etc.) :leostare:

I responded to the guy's "sister" and then received an invoice from "eBay motors"....I checked the email that it was sent from and it was actually sales.support@auto-sales-services.com :mjlol: this fool literally replicated an eBay motors email and had the NERVE to say the payment must be made via eBay cards :wtf: 7 cards at $200 each :dahell::heh: these motherfukkers are RIDICULOUS brehs :damn:

I bought a car from offerUp last year, if u know what you are doing, u cannot get scammed.

I met up with the seller, checked out the car from inside and out, took it for a test drive. I contacted a third party company and got them to do a 120 point pre purchase inspection. The car report was missing few minor things which I got the seller to reduce the price for it. But everything worked our just fine in the end and I love it.

rule numero uno, never ever buy anything over $100 that you cannot physically check out.
