I heard he was a pretty good wrestler on the indies before he got to Tough Enough
Guess they pretty much killed him off already with this gimmick
Starting to also feel like unless its an established star from overseas or the indies, NXT creative ideas died with Dusty and Ryan Ward moving to Smackdown

The Patrick Clarke gimmick is good, but you're spot on, NXT really ain't been anything worth of note for a long ass time.
I also think bringing in all these TNA re-treads is a bad look.
They sorely miss the Bayley and Sami types.
To me Joe been a pretty big disappointment and it shows cause NXT floundered with him in the top spot.

He needs to bring a lot more humour and improv to the mic to get this over both in a heel heat way or baby face way (Think New Day or Daniel Bryan or Miz). Right now off that one promo it still feels a bit monotone. Look in fariness its way too early to tell and its more important to see how he incorporates into matches but on first impression that didnt work. Probably doesnt help that it was just to get beat like a geek in a promo.
