Its self fulfilling.
People that truely don't care will end up in the red by speaking their mind.
People that care will simp for rep, join groups, make friends, co-sign nonsense to get rep.

Its funny watching it on forums like this, cause on anonymous message boards its laughable.
People that care about their online rep are literally described as "Fags" by the online community.
