So people still think JJ Watt should win a MVP over a Qb?

I don't care how dominant a defensive player is. In today's nfl you need your head examined if you think he effects the game the same way as a elite qb like Rodgers or Brady

At the same time if Rodgers or Brady had a poor O Line they might not be in the league right now. The NFL is he epitome of team sports and I'd hate to have to pick an MVP.

We already knew that

It still puzzles me why the Texans won't invest a high pick in a qb

I do think that they could make a separate category for a non-QB MVP b/c that position is automatically the most valuable on any team. Even more so in the modern era.

Last time a non QB or RB won MVP was LT in 86. Since then, 8 RBs & 22 QBs. Plus there's only 3 non-QB/RB MVPs in history.

A player like Watt can be dominant on his own. A QB, no matter how great or how delusional his stanbase is, cannot be dominant on his own.
