North Jersey but I miss Cali :sadcam:
Then proceeds to run a 4.64 in the 40 yard dash :mindblown:

And it aint like this mom his homeless on the streets (she's living with relatives).

At first glance this seemed like a feel good story but at the end of the day, he has ADHD and suffers from a learning disability so that school work was a no go. What's :snoop: particular is he didn't even have the will power to prepare for the combine to ensure he would get picked in the 2nd or 3rd round.

Can't be mad for wanting to help his mother. They say he's going to be a 5-7th round pick. Even if he's in the league for a year or two; at least that would put him in a comfortable position to buy her a house. That's probably something they never had. I really hope for the best for them.

God bless them!!

Ya'll missing the point. If I was him I would be about trying to better myself all the way around. Most NFL players retire broke. I would try to get my degree first. He probably will never tackle that learning disability and I think he using his mom as an excuse. In 10 years he gonna end up just like his moms. And his mom is grown. She should be taking care of him damn self. :mpls: She probably not trying to work because she know here son playing at Auburn and in a year or two he gonna be breaking her off. She probably said fukk working the moment he signed his letter of intent to go to Auburn in the first place.

Marion Barber his is cousin and aint even reach out to help and that speaks a lot.

:ehh:

Peyton like 235 or some shyt.... If he'd ran a 4.5 I would've been like :whoo: He's a straight ahead low gear grinder..... He's a great kid, but I guess he felt like his starting job was in jeopardy for his senior season...

Doesn't Marion Barber have pretty severe mental illness? I don't think its a real supportive family unit like that..
The Barbers are a pretty good family unit, I grew up around them and the Laurenitis kid back in MN.

You are correct that MB3 went off the deep end thiugh and doesn't even talk to his folks anymore. They communicate through the lawyer.

Breh, as someone that actually knows that family, Marion is not okay mentally right now, so you can't really hold him to this type of responsibility.

Also, the barbers are a BIG family.

Marion isn't the only one in that family that can help them.

Fair enough, but I disagree. It would be nice for him to get his degree at Auburn University; but if he has a learning disorder I'm pretty sure his academics may not be up to par. Again personally I wish every athlete would get a college degree, however the difference between wishing and seeing is severe.

Secondly I think that's unfair to say he's using his mom as an excuse. None of us really know what's going on in his personal life, to judge this. So that goes to his decision. Also about his mom not working because his son might come into some money. :yeshrug: That's fine. If I made that type of money I would try to convince my mother to never work again. I doubt it would work, but there's nothing wrong with doing it.

I don't know enough about the Marion Barber situation to comment, so I'll let you have that.

Edit: I'm reading something about him ( Marion Barber) with a loaded gun at a church. Here's a snippet.

"According to the police report, cops were first called to the scene after the former Dallas Cowboys star entered a church with a loaded 9mm handgun -- and 3 magazines ... containing 51 hollow-point bullets.

When cops got to the church, officers say Barber seemed disoriented -- and one cop says 'He heard Barber state he did not know what year it was or where he was at".

* Does sound like he may have some mental issues.
