I remember buying that 3570K last year for my old build and people saying you don't need the 3770K. I'm glad I put the 4770K in my latest build. I guess it was inevitable that a Core i7 would become recommended specs just didn't think it would happen this year.

There isn't even an 8-core I7 out.. Sounds like wrong information.
4 actual cores 4 virtual cores due to hyper-threading so 8 combined.

It means you have 4 cores that can do the work of 8. if you had an i5 you'd have 4 cores that can only do the work of 4.

I think it's absurd than an i7 is recommended specs for a game at this point. i don't think most people have i7s because they costed more and for the average user had no benefit.

why is that "absurd"? it's not the required spec

anyway, I'm curious to see benchmarks (for this game) of overclocked i5's vs hyperthreaded i7's
