So the digital Michael Jackson is being labeled as "creepy" or "weird"?

But had it been Elvis or a Beatles performance, they'd be like "Oh wow, what an amazing job....they really nailed the king's mannerisms. What a great day for Elvis fans, worldwide. Ladies & gentlemen, the digital Elvis experience will have residence in Las Vegas, we urge you to go see the show, it's worth the money!"

But since it's MJ, it's "creepy, strange, weird". And these are headlines I saw on mainstream sources like Rolling Stone, Amazon. SMH

Just enjoy the moment and appreciate the technology

In all honesty, Pac isn't big enough to garner hate from the mainstream media. Pac got an an "oh, that's neat" from the media, even tho the MJ one was much more advanced. Pac never is/was debated against all-time great white artists so there's no need to tear him down.

They still try to tear Mike down years after his death.

I know what you meant.

But nah, I could see them doing this with Elvis and it would get little to zero backlash. :yeshrug: It'd be seen as a "technological marvel", especially since Elvis has been dead for like 40 years. If the music biz still re-releases and rehashes Elvis stuff, trust they're not above digital Elvis.

Matter of fact, didn't they do a video a while back wit a digital Elvis and a newer artist?

They probably wouldn't if Paul McCartney & Ringo Starr co-signed the digital Lennon.

Maybe....

But if they put together a digital Beatles concert in MSG for 2 nights only with McCartney,Starr, and digitized the deceased ones, I bet it'd be sold out in minutes and get rave reviews.

Ultimately when ur at a concert, unless you're in the first few rows or floor, you might as well be looking at a hologram or ur watch the big screen

There's a thread on here with people complaining about MJ's mannerisms.

Yep.

Also, we may have to take into consideration that Michael Jackson died fairly recently, at least when compared to Pac & Elvis. Also, it wasn't like this was a fun concert with a gimmick doing a tribute to old Michael Jackson songs. It was probably weird because they were trying to create what Michael Jackson would've been doing to his new songs in 2014. Folks didn't know how to digest that shyt. :dwillhuh: :what: :patrice::ohhh:

The 2pac one was very basic, they kept the camera far away, nobody else on stage except for Snoop, and the movements are obviously not going to be as intricate or elaborate as a MJ show.

IMO, MJ was all about stuff like this and I think he would like the idea of it
