He was being pressured by Melo to make a contending team, so he got the best he could.


They should have gone the rebuild route and if he did that he would still be getting criticized. At least they have a good chance at the playoffs this year. :manny:

And it's not like there wasn't a big of a enough sample size for Phil to draw from that would've let him know not to give Noah that type of contract. The Bulls were not only playing 4 v 5 for at least 3 years straight (happening with the Knicks now) as his offense/freethrows/jumper went to complete shyt, but he was coming off of a very serious shoulder injury. Like, all of the possible red flags were there for Phil and he just ignored them :what:

3 years is a bit of a stretch, he ended up being 4th on the MVP vote in 2014, DPOY & 1st team All-NBA/All-Defense
