Not sure if this story is even true but its nothing new. Im not sure about other states, but in MA, if you ever have a restraining order filed against you then you lose your right to own a gun. Doesn't matter if its unsubstantiated. Applies to cops as well but they have a loophole by using precinct issued weapons that circumvent the law (basically its illegal for them to possess a weapon but because they are law enforcement they can carry on the job while the feds look the other way).
