Me and my homey were flown from Raleigh NC to Houston tx Friday to do a show at the Chesmistry Lounge. The promoter does some fukk shyt and puts us last which is cool if ur Jay-Z but not when ur an independent group.
So we sit and watch the crowd dwindle cuz most of the opening acts are local Houston artist who weren't that hot. So we go on and there is literally just us and about 20 ppl left in the club. So we rocked our 15 minute set like it was 10000 ppl there.
High energy shyt. Then after our set we originally planned to sell our cds but since we had 30 copies on us and only 30 there between customers and staff so me and my homey like fukk it we
gave away every single cd we had for free cuz id rather be heard than make a profit. As we leave, i kid u not, every single person we gave a cd to gave us either 5 or 10 dollars and dapped. We left with close to 200 dollars and mad respect.
Wish the story had more drama for my coli heads but its real. Htown showed real love and now we have a program director interested in playing a record he heard us perform Its not how many u rock but who u rock. Real hiphop wins again
