Take away their guns. Random beat cops and traffic cops should not have the power to take a life with a gun. These guys are normally already losers, racists, and school drops outs with Iow IQ's. Leave lethal weapons for SWAT teams or higher ranking officers. If they have guns assigned they should stay in locked away in their vehicle and they shouldn't be allowed to carry it on them when interacting with citizens in any way. There are plenty of non leather weapons such as tasers, rubber bullets, mace that they can use. There is no reason for a cop to carry a gun on a random traffic stop for a broken tail light or speeding ticket. None.
A lot yall keep talking about what WE can do and there is nothing WE can do to change a depraved racist mind. WE can however give them less options and make it harder to act on their racial bias. There is really no other solution. Cops cannot be trusted with making split second judgements and we should not be putting them in the position where they have the power to do so.
In many European countries regular cops do not carry guns either. It will not stop all killings such as Eric Garner who was choked but it will force cops to change their behavior on how they diffuse situations. There is no other solution besides creating policies that change how police do their jobs. You have to change the protocol and the rules.
This is what protestors and black americans should be pushing for Obama, hillary etc to address with policy. They can propose free college for everyone. They can make sweeping changes to healthcare.. so its time for blacks to push for a platform that will make sweeping changes to reform how police do their jobs.
