Moneysaver One-Shot: A 4K TV For $966

Moneysaver One-Shot: A 4K TV For $966

Rising pixel counts, falling prices.

A lot of people have written off 4K is being something for the far-flung future, both because of its price and how long it will take for content to be widely available. To counter that argument, here's a 4K TV for $966. Dealzmodo covered it yesterday at $1080, and Gizmodo came away impressed with it at $1500. Your new Playstation 4, Xbox One, and Mac Pro all support this resolution, so 4K's future is looking better and better. [Amazon]
I guess EVERYONE will be getting a new TV sooner than they thought. I wonder if it'll be always on :ohhh:

All channels aren't even in full HD yet. Ill wait.

NO channels will be in 1080p for the next 15yrs, how long you planning on waiting :ld:
If games can upscale to 4K? I might cop. But I don't like the 120hrz refresh rate. I'm looking for 240 and higher. 720p TV's nowadays are often about 600hrz. It makes a difference for gaming and TV. 2nd most important thing to look for after contrast ratio imo

I don't think games will be in 4k just the systems will be able to playback 4k content. I don't currently have the room for a 4k set so I'll pass on this

Just another money grab from these companies. Gaming is JUST getting to 1440P on the PC and even THAT is not that far spread out.

Is anyprogramming or blurays gonna be in 4k?

Even upscaling would hurt game latency you'd think....

Netflix will soon have movies in 4K and basically that is what all streaming sites are aiming for. They said there won't be blu-rays with 4K because they would fill up too much space. Batman was 40/50gb. So at 4K its probably looking like 200gb. They will stream a lower quality 4K and it'll probably be around 10gb per movie. That nikka Yify stay with the piffy his 1080p rips average around 4gb. If you don't know who I'm talkng about dont worry about it. Not everyone is up on thangs :suge:
