They control the narrative. They control the storyline.
They can plaster a white person next to the word "R&B" and the next generation who doesn't know any better will feed into it because they were born into a world where white people are synonymous with "R&B". That's how whitewashing works.
We know NOW that r&b is an overwhelming "black" thing but the upcoming generation of people won't know that because today they're leaving images and footprints of r&b being a white thing. Again, that's how whitewashing works. Its not about us today, its about the upcoming generations.
@Originalman i feel what you're saying but R&B is still known as a "black" artform.
We have no control of media so we're basicly powerless to combat these types of images. Images like these are extremely powerful.
