That's The Coli for you though. They write off certain artists, then when they don't go away as quietly as expected, they find a way to discredit them. If they aren't discrediting them, they hop right on the bandwagon.

Timbaland is the most overrated producer imo.
His beats dont have that crisp sound to it. shyt sounds horribly mixed. Where is that nikka's treble

Timbaland is basically a Co-Producer who finds new & hot up & comers & molds them into Super Producers... he's done it to Scott Storch, Royal Court, Danja, Brian Kidd, Polow & a few more... that's where his genius lies. And if you think he's not great then just look at where 75% of the producers he mentored ended up after they stopped working with him...

I think Tim tweaks the beats, does some percussion, and puts his "sound" on them. He probably has a good vision for the song. But the dudes playing the keys were Danja and now J-Roc, I'm pretty sure Timb doesnt play all that well. I could be wrong tho.

Tim's more than just a Co-producer. Much of his catalog consists of songs that he produced by himself. Tim is more along the lines of a Dre in that his gift is drum programming musically. The difference is that Tim also throws off kilter, unorthodox sounds into his productions that give it a signature Timbaland sound. Tim's co-producers, like Dre's co-producers are real musicians whose gift are the keys, guitars, or other instruments.
He says this himself in the video I posted above. He comes across as a lame in the video tho, trying to act humble but still coming across arrogant and obnoxious
