They don't have the time that's the main problem....specially Pharrell! He literally has so many artists waiting to work with him and has been like that for over a decade so he can't develop an artist of his own because he doesn't have that time to do it.

She was suppose to release an album back in July which I think they pushed back because she didn't have no buzz no it seems like the think like tink album is lost in translation now.
I don't believe the hype in Tink. Generally speaking - even from artists we have loved - there has been a huge machine behind them in the background. With her her push so quickly seemed so forced, like she had the right team (which matters more than you nikkas think!). Outta nowhere all these industry heads started building her up like she done something or was that talented, but i didnt see it. Just a regular cool chick who with some development can be a solid artists depending on the direction.
People gotta realize tho that there is no genuine "buzz". Since the 80's it has always been fugazi as part of the marketing. There is no buzz in the industry without multiple industry hands already in it (whether 50 Cent, DMX, Tink, Nicki Minaj, Waka etc etc etc).
Nowadays more people know about it tho (ie. fake "im-not-signed-to-a-major" shtick).

I think if you just put out consistently good music (or make that one catchy song) that a lot of people like you can create a genuine buzz. It's rare but I still think it happens here and there
