Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo reportedly suffered two fractures in his back when he was hit during Monday night’s loss to Washington.

Todd Archer of ESPN.com reports that Romo suffered two fractured transverse processes. That sounds bad, but the report says Romo still has a chance to play tomorrow against the Cardinals. The Cowboys are describing Romo as a game-time decision.

The injury is similar to one suffered by Baylor quarterback Bryce Petty this season. Petty missed one game.

The transverse process is a small bone that sticks out from either side of the vertebrae. Cowboys owner Jerry Jones said the biggest question facing Romo is whether he can tolerate the pain.

If Romo can’t go, the Cowboys will turn to Brandon Weeden on Sunday.

It's just 2 transverse processes. He can play as long as his pain is controlled and as long as he can stay mobile.

I would say rest him until after the bye. Murray has been a fukking beast and IMO he can carry them to a win at least. Well see. Only thing I don't like is them killing Murray with too many carries and then his injury prone ass gets hurt.

Playing him against the cards definitely ain't the best option..... Rest him tomorrow and run Demarco heavy. It's a contract year. That nigguh is not getting injured this season....a might as well milk him
