I actually don't think they will start with Taiwan. They might test the waters(literally) with those contested islands with Vietnam, Thailand, etc. There will be less imputus for global action on their behalf. If US doesn't act, then they are free to take Taiwan.

It would be similar to Putin testing global waters in Syria or with Crimea before going all in on Ukraine.

I doubt China attempts that , didn't Washington say it would defend Taiwan

yea this is kind of a litmus test.
as much money as the U.S spends on military budget you'd think they could front multiple wars at once but economically it seems like Russia timed this right such that the U.S could not really intervene. Wouldn't be surprised if China piggybacked with their own aggressive move in the coming months

They can say whatever they want. At the end of the day if you pick up 5 items in front of you at least 2 will have that made in China symbol on them.

The keyboard or phone youre using to even type your response has likely passed through Chinese hands. If China deebos these nations wtf is the contingency plan for cheap goods?

Look how everything basically shut down because businesses couldn't get their supplies exported out of China in 2020.

They have the world by the balls because our managers and politicians basically sold off our manufacturing to them. Theyve gotten rich as fukk and learned how to make knock off versions of the products they've manufactured and are now able to undercut the American counterparts on price.

If anyone wants to beat China they will need to invest massively in social safety nets to boost citizen spending power, domestic manufacturing, and infrastructure to make the goods get to buyers faster. It also will include diversifying the suppliers to include manufacturers in Latin America, South Asia, and Africa.

China and Russia are allies. China is very sneaky...like how they took over Hong Kong and silenced those protests. They use other events as smoke screens.

Hong Kong being handed back over to China had been planned out for years.

In the Hall of the People in Beijing, British Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher and Chinese Premier Zhao Ziyang sign an agreement committing Britain to return Hong Kong to China in 1997 in return for terms guaranteeing a 50-year extension of its capitalist system.

yeah, that's real sneaky.

American companies chose to manufacture in china for the cheap labor so don't blame China blame those companies who exported all those jobs .

Y'all know that's next right?
they won't lol now that WILL enact a response from not only the U.S. but Japan and South Korea, also China doesn't have any allies in the South Pacific outside of North Korea. India, Vietnam, Singapore, Malyasia, Indonesia, hate china's expansionist and imperialist ways. ROC aren't pushovers either, small but well trained and armed.

more likely to keep bytch slapping India at their shared borders

you have no indication of there being any new aggressions beside the fact that Russia just did something. the world is not in a free for all state like the last time there was a world war with everyone grabbing colonies and already having front lines and skirmishes. china is currently engaged in an olympic games that might prob end up being the least watched. they know their social credit with the world is already in the toilet as per wuhan fukking over the world collectively

this ain't the time.
