Theres an entire thread dedicated to this already.

The only 360 games that currently work on the Xbox one are the ones on the list.

If you have the disc, once you put into the XB1 it will download the game. You will need to leave the disc inside the XB1 to play. If the game has any online multiplayer you will be able to play with other people who own the game whether they are on XB1 or on the 360.

If you bought these games digitally they will show up automatically in your queue to download for free.

The list will continue to have games added to it. Right now, this feature is only available to people who are a part of the preview program. (like me )
