I mean, look at the similarities. Hadn't Owen gone out like he did, that dude would have had the GOAT underdog run during the Attitude Era. It would have been great to see if he won a Rumble and went up against Austin at a Mania.

I bet he'd have come the closest to ending the streak, too :wow:

i doubt it. i think he woulda just been a great tag champ...maybe had some lower title runs...always an underdog. his look and wrestling style set him up for this.

Owen could go but the time was a different time. They needed characters then. Owen is a tad bit overrated but lets not act like D Bry is lightyears better than him. Owen was more of a well rounded wrestler than even Bret and I was a HUGE Bret stan growing up

Bret isnt a better wrestler than Danielson...just had a never ending push for 5 years.

Bryan's work in WWE reminds me a lot of Owen Hart. I dont think Owen was ever gonna get that big main event push tho, in the year and change before he passed away he seemed permanently stuck in the midcard. He probably would've been used in the capacity WWE uses Christian in today's era. And Austin would've never worked him because of the Neck injury from 97.

The Streak was only at like 7 or 8 when Owen died. They didnt really start pushing it until a couple years later with Flair.
