Not everyone is the same alot of people still shop online and check blogs etc ... plus if you Google anything you end up on a website ...

The term surfing has definitely changed I remember back in the day 98-07 I would go from one random as website to another. Now a days im either on a forum, social media or a news sight. Or if I'm tryna buy something Amazon. Maybe 5-8 sites a day max. I rarely go to a site that doesn't have something related or mentioned in the current site I'm on at the time.
Facts. I remember back in high school I'd be visiting nahright, 2dopeboyz, allhiphop, boxden, and a couple other sites on the regular. Now ... 
Think a lot of it has to do with the real time updates you get from social media versus waiting for websites to be updated by admins

Chances are you are visiting multiple sites at once. For example, when you visit news yahoos...you are technically visiting multiple sites. Since they are pulling content from other sites through APIs etc.

Most sites arnt even accessable by your web browser, if you really think websites are dead... take a trip to the deep web and report back after
This is news to me. Just because it seems like the internet is one way, doesn't mean that folks go the other way. There are sites that I read about certain hobbies like cinema and some video game stuff. Hell, I still read blogs and so forth. Just because folks go for a few things on the web and bounce, doesn't necessary mean the train stops moving.
This is very true. Besides The Coli, Yahoo,(don't know why I still go to this site), WaPo, NYT and Huffpost, I don't go to any other websites.
I forgot to add, I have my own website for my photography business. I don't have to usually do to much with it but it is a nice business tool to have when people want to see my work especially if they don't do much with social media.
