I dissected a cat in my A&P class; I kinda liked it. We had to shave the cat, cut it open and had to learn the parts of the body. The only bad part was the smell because I took it in the summer in the south.

Shout out to the other lab people in here @hotbeezie and @tater :blessed:.

I just got a job as a phlebotomist...downgrade :snoop:

But oh well. I need a job.

Nothing wrong with being a phlebotomist keep

Omg. I wanted to be a forensic pathologist for the longest time. :noah: What you wrote is so interesting to me.
Then I remember talking to a 'teacher' once and she used to do what you did, and she said so betting like once you smell a dead body, you won't forget that smell. After that, I was like, nvm.

I never got to dissect a cat. In high school we dissected a frog, and in my college bio class we dissected a frog and a sheep's eye.

Yea you'll never forget that smell:wow:the worst part is that you can't cover your nose.

I did a pig in highschool and a frog and sheep's eye in college.

I wanted to be in forensics myself, but now I'm thinking about going the IT route help install LIS systems for companies like HMS or get that biomed money and repair lab instruments for people like Siemens

:mjcry:I aint tryna go back to college tho

I dissected cats in school. It's informative. I still remember facts about the body from that cat

Though the same way, it wasn't that bad to be honest. They are dead already the only part that sucks is the smell from the fluid they are kept in. That thing starts to seep in your clothes and stuff.

Micro is cool to me because you never know what you gonna get on them plates

They can have Mcyology tho...dissolving sputums and bronch washes are way worse than stool samples in nastiness

Not like its a dog... Cats suck and are soul less creatures. One of the only animals that kills things for fun.

Have you thought about getting an ascp certification in micro; it will probably help with you finding another micro job. Also try to up load you resume into career builder because every time I up load my current resume I get calls for different lab positions; also Indeed.com is a good search engine.

This man knows what he's talking about.

ASCP certification will make life a lot easier when job searching.

I was told (don't quote me :whoa:) that the AMT cert was easier to get but you'll almost always get beat out by ASCP applicant with near the same amount of work experience.
