From what I've seen here and on a lot of other boards, Nash is a really underappreciated prime player. Too much buthurt about Kobe not getting that MVP in '06 or his lack of defense as if he's the only all time great player who wasn't a significant contributor on that end of the floor. Not surprised

Nash was a very good player in his prime.

He was a better creator than most people give him credit for. He was more offensively talented than Chris Paul ever was. Nash could penetrate and preferred to dish, but he wasn't afraid to finish at the rim like Kidd was. He was no one trick pony.

His jumper was one of the wettest in the league for several years. Serious range. He was almost Curry before Curry, obviously not as good. Nash made all those Phoenix Suns players better. From Marion and Amar'e to Bell, Barbosa, and Thomas. They all played at their peak with him. Steve Nash was an amazing offensive talent who was a once-in-a-generation type of floor general.

His game was grounded. He played no defense. He and Dirk are very similar players in that they were juggernauts at one end of the court. Unathletic cacs. But they killed it.

He robbed Kobe of an MVP or two, but I can't hate on his game. Dude was a monster.

Salute to the Legend, Steve Nash. It's almost surreal to fathom the Suns having Nash, JKIDD and KJ, on the same squad at one point!!!
