Are there any plans for Nintendo to make the Wii U gamecube compatible? I hope they didn't just release that shyt just so people can play Smash with a gamecube controller 
So what is Nintendo planning to do with this gamecube controller stuff?

Maybe the system is not compatible or something. I really don't know though. Maybe they have plans we don't know about.
You can install homebrew and play Gamecube games in Wii mode. Maybe the hackers will be able to get the adapter working with that.
its a smart cash grab because me and my homies looked everywhere for them on friday and it was sold out everywhere.... they also released special wii u gamecube controllers but they need the adapter too...
we ended up playing smash with wii u controllers and it was still fun but u really need the gamecube controllers to have total control of the game

I haven't read about this yet but if so, shyt like this is the reason these companies put out half assed products or just over-price shyt. Ppl steady buying DLC, "collectors editions", half finished games, etc smh

The controller isn't selling that well, it's the adapter that's sold out. Most people buying the game already have GC controllers.

Fans wanted to play Smash with Gamecube controllers instead of WiiMotes. Nintendo knows people like the GC controller for Smash. Why not cater to that? They aren't trying to fukk people over, fans demanded this and Nintendo delivered.
nikka, @GoldenGlove just said they charging like $50 for a bullshyt controller that came out like 15years ago. Again, idk if that's true, but if so, these "fans" got shytted on with that price
