well the middle east has been fukked for a long time now and double fukked after the iraq invasion.

africa isn't any worse off than before, some places are better.

outside of the american economy everyone is doing really shytty and that will effect our exports, so our economy could be doing better if the rest of the world was doing better.

we're in the nuclear age, thus no world war. if we did have a world war you wouldn't have to worry about any of the 3 points you made before it.

americans generally don't give a shyt unless it's affecting us directly and no soldiers are dying in the fukked middle east and our economy is chugging along (we're the tallest midget).

I think that British China thing is being over exaggerated, its business and everybody uses China like they use us. There's no real beef, except for the hacking, which consequences will follow if it continues. And their market took a drastic fall earlier, China isn't rising, and China isn't getting anywhere with investing in controlling Africa.

Let China get some influence over a place that matters. Africa don't matter too much.

You honestly think that Africa isn't important...REALLY. This continent has the youngest population in the world and is growing. Think about the implications that has for a future labor and potential trade. You are aware of the abundance of natural resources as are most by this point I hope. No China isn't rising, because it has already risen. It has the world's largest economy and 3rd most used currency. China had been happy to stay in the shadows, but no more. I agree to disagree with you, but time will tell, and I thinking it will tell very soon.
