So what type of contract is Dellavedova getting the offseason?

His contract expires after this season so he'll be a restricted free agent come July, and I'd have to assume that based on his performance in the playoffs, the Finals in particular, he's probably earned himself a nice payday off the strength of it. Wouldn't be too surprising cause we've seen other guys like Patty Mills & JJ Barea finagle title runs into relatively nice contracts.

So what type of contract does he get? Obviously I don't think anyone's gonna offer him the max or anything crazy like that, but I wouldn't be surprised to see a desperate team throw some money at him to try to bring him as a starter. Cleveland has the option to match so I'd assume if the contract is reasonable he'll be back there.

Thoughts? :ld:

Youre acting like hes shooting lights out and dropping dimes out there

I mean dude has played great defense and is making hustle plays, but its not like hes setting the world on fire right now

No I never said that he was, but he's playing very well on the biggest stage, and surely his value has gone up a lot more than what it was previously.

Like I said I don't think he's gonna get a huge contract. But it's clear that he's played himself into a nice payday

Ain't nobody gonna break the bank for Matthew DellaPaxonKerrSmithFisher. It's obvious he's a role player. He's doing what those great role players have done over the years and none of them ever got big money. Teams overpay for size and athleticism not 6'3 guards with limited handles and super streaky shooting.
