He's already faced Roman & Seth and there aren't any other newer guys they've built up to take on Brock. They screwed that up with Rusev & Cesaro.
Since returning 3 years ago, Brock has had matches/rematches against the same people. At least with Orton, it'll be fresh and hopefully last just one match.

well these next two months they better get some serious shyt going cause so far Reigns Cena and Brock orton are fukking horrible ideas for mania. I think they blew their load with brock and reigns too fast it would have been a good idea this year, Orton Cena Brock should all face legends let the young talent fight for that top spot.. yes the top guys should be on the show to sell tickets but tlet the young guys get the final match so they can steal the show in a great match and tell a story that way.. You don't always have to have A guy like cena in the match cause nobody wants to see him win anyway that takes away from the suspense, Im tired of rooting against him..
Brock vs rock or bryan, Cena vs taker and orton vs a returning mid card guy or a guy like KO or ADR, shyt let Cesaro get that win against orton, all way more exciting matches and are fresh

Now that they're more dominating than ever New Day wants revenge for getting murked in Japan so they target Brock, possibly in agreement with The Authority who want to keep Brock away from the title picture.
Even if it's just one match they can hype it up for weeks with Heyman and Woods cutting promo's and providing all kinds of fukkery.

Sittin at home eatin deer meat until January, then he comes back and eliminates all 30 entrants in the Royal Rumble demolishing Roman's record. He wrestles the main event of Mania, a Fatal 4 Way match against Cena, Rollins and Reigns. F5's all three of them at the same time, wins the WWE championship and holds it for the next 20 years.
