So where does the "bullying" line get drawn for you?

so how many taunting penalties were called during the game?:patrice:
if none or average numbers, then... :manny:

i'm an assistant football coach
the article does nothing to indicate unsportsmanlike conduct
--used reserve players
--used running clock
etc.

personally we cut it off at 35-0 (not 56)
i would maybe add no trick plays, take a knee on turnovers, no long passes, etc.

but there's only so much you can do:what:

Seems as if the coaching staff and players tried to keep the game from getting out of hand. If anything, they should look into a mercy rule or something. The talent gap was insurmountable and they got their asses whipped. It happens. Get better as a team or appeal for a mercy ruling to be set into place for amateur athletics at the middle/high school level.

Yeah... this was not a well-matched game. No point in continuing to play after 60 points in the gap.

What you do to Kif on a regular basis would be considered bullying @Zapp Brannigan :ld:

All I demand out of my men is their complete loyalty. And a scotch on the rocks.

But real talk, running up the score is not bullying, if they dont have a mercy rule already in place, then thats there faults but the kids should not be blamed, kids are going to learn sooner or later, life isnt fair and fukked up shyt like this happens and those parents need to shut the fukk up and stop babying them. shyt happens, you learn and move on.

Beating kids by damn near 100 pts is an attempt to humiliate and demoralize them. Thats not competition at all, rather its having fun at the embarrassment of another. That seems to fit into the bullying framework to me, although I do think calling it bullying is a stretch as I said earlier. Whatever happened to the 'mercy' rule?

The winning team's coach tried to slow it down without just stopping the game. But the other team just sucked.
