  • Kobe has been hungry for another title for these past years but he's getting old and the window is closing.
  • Duncan is coming from a back-to-back appearance in the Finals after winning a fifth win, but the West is going to be crowded with dominant teams in the coming years making it tough to sail through the playoffs
So who is the most likely to get the #6 and be compared to the legend?

Discuss.....

Kobes done

Duncan's only hurdle is if he actually wants to come back and he's quoted as saying that
he'd like to stay as long as he can contribute and be effective.

Truth be told, if they can keep the same personel, stay healthy and in shape...I see a repeat

Kobe won't play on a winning team...but...him gunning for Kareem scoring record is going to be must see TV...

Dude is about to put up a 30 for 30...30 points on 30 % shooting playing 30 minutes a night while his team loses by 30

One of them played a few games for a lottery Team and got a Larry Holmeslike roster with no coach while hugging almost 50% of his team cap space. The other just finished the total dismantling, one of the most lopsided non sweeps in the history of the league beating the defending champs and the best player in the planet to a bloody pulp, that player most likely will get the core of the team back next season and there's room for improvement on that roster.... You tell me who u think it's gonna win first.

Duncan and the Spurs could repeat easily next year with good health again from everybody. And as competitive as Tim is I cant see him retiring yet knowing he still has plenty of game and the desire to play still.

Spurs repeating? This was their final hurrah with their core 3. They have solid players but I doubt they'll make it out of the west if the Thunder ever get a good coach.

Duncan has the better chance assuming he opts in and plays at the same level. They just went to back to back Finals for the first time ever.

The West is a dogfight but the Spurs proved they are still the best team in the conference. The Spurs are also in good position to keep Diaw and Mills plus bring in another peice with the MLE and still be well below the luxury tax. They also have the Bi Annual Exception.

Kobe isn't winning another title again

The Lakers are seriously looking at Byron Scott and Kurt Rambis as head coaches. Nothing else needs to be said :mjlol:
