So, why do y'all hate TIDAL so much?

I'm interested as to why y'all praise Spotify, Apple Music, Google Music.....but not Tidal?

Over the past 4-5 months, Tidal has become the best service IMO and I've tried them all(w/ the exception of Apple). Currently I have Spotify, tho only b/c they gave me a 3-month deal for just $9.99, BUT the sound quality on even the $9.99 tier of Tidal is WAY better than Spotify. Only Google Music is close to Tidal in terms of sound quality.

And putting the producer/writer credits on albums/songs, as well as some album reviews, is something no other service does.

The Tidal desktop app is better looking than Spotify and just as easy to use.

And this is coming from someone who made a thread on here last summer about how BAD Tidal was. I call a spade a spade.

IMO, it's the best at the moment.

I have tidal, and I have no problems with it either. I bought it for two specific reasons

1) Because the owner IS black. I have no shame in this.

2) He also moved reasonable Doubt off of I tunes ( That album has sentimental value to me).

One big reason is Beats1 radio (So many artists I fux with have been put on through it, UK getting a lot of love . OVOSound is alike an event, other artists getting their own shows )

The 3 month free trial was genius. I couldn't live without it after having it for free 3 months.

Just started using the tidal free trial (1 month ) for this Kanye album. Only dopeness was I could watch the new money and violence ep

Ppl gettin music for free for YEARS now and ppl are fckin cheap so of course they gonna be mad when someone makes it harder for us to get free shyt in a way we were used to.


Plus that whole initial tidal thing was corny where these artists supposedly got together to Like Create some revolution and it really looked they was more or less just going in our pockets for 10 bucks a month. Was a bad first impression

Honestly I had never tried Tidal before TLOP dropped but I love the interface and the credits with each track is a nice touch. I may stick with it

I have no horse either, I just go with whoever gives me the best deal. But that doesn't change that Tidal sound quality is the best.

As far as increasing ur listening experience, well that depends on your musical taste. If all you listen to is hip-hop then that's one thing, but there's no way you get all the different genres of music from the 70s-80s-90's that are on these services. I've discovered so much stuff that I've never heard before on these streaming services.

Tidal just gets pulled into the generic hip hop discussion, jokes etc... same as 50 cent's headphones and stuff like that

And the launch was not focused on end users but had Madonna climbing on the table talking about freedom for artists and all that which made it extra random

I think Tidal got most of it's hate at the start because of their roll out and the slander campaign that followed after. Now it seems like people are warming up to it. I bounce around between services. Sometimes I'll buy a month of google music, spotify, or tidal.

My current rankings

Spotify-Most music, best interface, easy to find new music
Google Play- You can add your own music, you get youtube red but only one person can use the account and it has really slow load time.
Tidal-Exclusives I actually care about, Reasonable Doubt, better sound quality but has slow loading and an ugly interface
Apple Music- Beats1 Radio is free so you'd be stupid to use their garbage service.

Wouldn't pay for Pandora, never tried Deezer, and I don't know what to search for on Soundcloud.
