It's been political since day one.
edit: and the fukk he mean Jesus couldn't stand politics? Dude was literally walking around trying to change Hebrew law.
Nah, Jesus wasn't trying to change Hebrew law. He was pointing out that the Hebrew law was null and avoid if the heart of the people wasn't in the right place. He was illustrating that people were following the Hebrew law to basically
appear righteous without actually being righteous. There were people of that day who were following the Hebrew law, but looking down on others may have broken some of those laws. Jesus was questioning "how can you turn your nose up at your fellow brethren and then claim you're abiding by the Hebrew law". That's why he said the whole Hebrew law could be summed up in "loving God with your whole heart, mind, and soul" and "loving your neighbor as you love yourself". He even told them that he didn't come to abolish the law, but fulfill the law.
As far as Jesus not liking politics, I think that's a stretch on KRS's part. At the least he was neutral when it came to politics. The only implication of his stance on politics that I can think of is when he said "render to Caesar what is Caesar and to God what is God's".
