overall judging his whole life and career in the buisness.?
Dude is a millionaire so he obviously is a horrible businessman.overall judging his whole life and career in the buisness.?
He is a good businessman. He would have to be to become a billionaire.
As far as booking goes he is questionable at best. He is not Russo bad though.
Ok smarten me up on this comment, I hear stuff like this on the net all the time, but lets see vince was booking during the attitude era and so was this russo guy, that was the greatest era of all time. If these guys arent that good then who in the fukk booked that era?
I think he is an ok booker but he is not the most creative guy at times especially with gimmicks and sometimes he has trouble with being out of touch with pop culture/society. Russo had a lot creative ideas that were different but he didn't know how to make those ideas translate into making sense when it comes to wrestling. Vince knew what ideas he could work with and make it work within wrestling. Also Vince has had a lot of help from other people to get him to where he is today.
As far as the Attitude Era Vince had help from Russo, Cornette (until late 97), JR, and I believe Bruce Pritchard.
Vince also has his bias for big muscular wrestlers and he doesn't favor small guys that much. It makes sense in a way due to the larger than life feel. In my opinion talent and charisma matter the most because you can only push untalented wrestlers for so long before they get exposed in big matches.
I think late 97 was when wwf got exciting again, so cornette input wasnt that great to me, JR and brother love need to get more credit then because there was too much good stuff going on during that period, I know JR was good because as soon as he stopped commentating and being a regular character the quality went down and when he was booking NXT as a result we got, the sheild, wyatts, big E and a few other future stars.
As for his big man bias yes it was exposed from about 04 until recently there has been way too many body builders getting pushed over the years and im glad it is slowing down.
So basically the magic that was the attitude era was more of a team effort than one person controlling every thing? are they not doing that anymore? is it more just one person now?
When it pertains to the wrestling business, absolutely. When he tries playing away games, not so much.
