Wild. I wonder if TKO has the money to force AEW onto another streaming provider, or they just say fukk it and coexist.
Well, the streaming part is the biggest puzzle for me, they’ll still be on tv twice week, but they may lose their streaming deal entirely.

“Netflix signaled it would keep HBO Max as a discrete service, while it also touted the addition of HBO and HBO Max content to its lineup.”

Also Netflix is not acquiring any linear tv assets or game studios

Sounds like they’ll start adding all the good shyt on max to Netflix until max dies out. Meaning AEW will stay on Max and domestic TV.

AEW's deal is up by the time any of this happens so who knows

Pretty much. The reality of the situation is this:

Trump wanted his boy Ellison at Paramount to buy WBD outright. Because that didn't happen (Netflix bought the "Streaming & Studios" which includes HBOMax), the government will play their "monopoly busting card" because they didn't like the outcome. There will be investigations and probably lawsuits surrounding this, which will drag on.

At the mean time, TBS/TNT are part of the WBD's Global Networks, which was spun off this summer and not part of the Netflix deal. Paramount still has interest due to CNN being a part of that.

TLDR Summary: Dynamite and Collision on TBS & TNT respectively should be fine in the short term. Litigation will tie up HBOMax for a couple years so nothing should change. By the time AEW's negotiation window arrives in 2027, look for them to have a new home, possibly on Amazon.

That pretty much sums it up. They already pushed the "split" back to Q3 2026. Trump and his friends are salty af this is gonna drag on...
