So I gotta new job a few months ago. Its a good job with alot of potential so im trying to put my best foot fwd and be active and shyt as im on contract and want to get permanent. The pay is
My department is like 200 deep and this place is big on all that team work bullshyt. im usually the guy who doesnt want to participate in shyt but this time because its a good job im trying to be more invovled
So one of my co workers, lets call her Becky, comes up with an idea for all of us to dress up for halloweenshes brainstorming ideas and decides we all dress up as marvel comics. So she aske me to look up the marvel characters on my computer cuz none of us know any of that shyt...so I pull it up and we all looking.now this other cac employee, lets call him whitey joins in the discussion. And as we all looking hes like "we gotta find you a BLACK marvel comic
" me and Becky both looked at eachother like
took me aminute to process what whitey said..so becky was like "does it matter? Its just a costume?!!!??!!" Whitey goes "what? Its not authentic, are there any black marvel comics!" Im like you serious breh? And i just shook my head...he walks away and becky and i are still looking like

Now im in my office getting heated...not because of the comicsbut because dude is seeing color over some bullshyt halloween costume...which wouldnt of been more then a hand drawn superman logo on a white T IF THAT. Foh i just want my stripes in the company.
so a few hours go by and im hearing him joking with co workers and laughing and im getting heated so after work i went over to his desk and went off on whitey. Told him i wasnt feeling that comment and how you seeing color over this shyt...he tried to apologize and shake my hand but he had one of thosetype faces so i pulled my hand back and was like im not playin man , im dead serious...hes like ok ok.im like nah man, hes like it was just a joke, and im like
So today i go into work and hes hanging over beckys desk so i know he was talkin about it...soon as i sit down he comes over and is like can we talk...so i go with him and dude gave me a real apology and was like he went home feeling like shyt about what he said..dude looked shookand sad at the same time..so we talked and i explained it woulf be equivalent to you telling Becky (whose on the fat side) that you gotta find her some fat person to dress up as....anyway we dapped it up he apologized and i accepted it..but i still dont really fukk with him cuz i know his type..dude is still laughing at something one of my african comworkers said minths ago..and he mimics the accent and shyt....fukk him
But now the issue is, im sure people looking at me like the angry black guy...smh

all i could think about is this..
I swear cacs have the worst sense of humour anywhere..its like that of an 8 year old. I have to assume he knew what he was doing since they always claim to be more enlightened than us but somehow feign ignorance when pulling a racist stunt.

I used to work in an environment that sounds somewhat similar to that when I was iin my early 20's... I used to play along with the teamwork bullshyt too, even tho I just wanted to go to work and go home and wait for payday....
