:yeshrug: This is his 3rd time. He was recently signed to Rico love label(who is signed to a major), but he don't fit Rico tho

He comes from an era where major labels did everything for rappers, all they had to do was show up and spit.

If he had a modern work ethic he'd forgo these labels and build a movement himself, but he's just gonna keep bouncing from place to place hoping one of them makes him pop again.

:francis:

Damn shame, too. I like Young Chris.

He should take a page out of Freeway's book. He's not the biggest rapper, but he still drops music and makes good money overseas an on festivals. Linked up with EDM/Electronic guys like Girl Talk and is eating on his own.

I mean u know how many mixtape young chow have? At about 15, he has tried that route, but it never took off, tbh he isn't a artist that's looking for the label to make him. I'm a big fan also, but I see this puff still is probably a ghost writing deal

You just kinda proved my point.

People release mixtapes, yeah, but that's not what builds brands any more. It didn't work for Papoose and J.R. Writer then, and it's not gonna work now. "Flooding the streets" with mixtapes doesn't mean anything in 2015.

It's not 2004 any more, and I fear that Chris is just gonna be one of those guys who's gonna get left behind.

Every rapper out now, good or bad, has a lane. Chris has none. Whatsoever. shyt, at least Meek Mill screams when he raps so he stands out.

And to add onto my last post he did exactly what wale and meek did(he use to run wit both of them before they signed to mmg), had wake working wit state property and all that, did 30 day 30 songs events, and when him and wale released searching for a outlet he had it a competition where fans submitted they own verse and he picked the best version to be on the official song.

He tried, everybody ain't gon always pop
