Eh, I could never really get into it; I've tried a few times, and halfway through the first season, I just give up; maybe it's the whole biker thing.
Also, a lot of people don't know or aren't aware, but SoA, in some aspects, bit off The Shield which is a much better show than SoA, one that was great from start to finish and has one of the greatest TV series finales of all time, a project, FX's first original series that made FX a worthy cable TV station, and a show in which Sutter was a part of...SoA is his over-the-top answer to that after he was cut off from being involved with The Shield during its final seasons.
The One-Niners, for example, were major players in The Shield led by Sticky Fingaz (Kern Little) and Anthony Anderson's (Antwon Mitchell) characters. Hell, if I'm not mistaken Michael Chiklis and the guy who played Dutch on The Shield both had cameos in SoA as unrelated characters.

I remember we used to call it "sons of f*ckery" in here when it was originally airing cuz of all the nonsense and suspension of belief one had to do for how outrageous it got. that said, I've watched the entire series twice and was highly entertained.
