It's a "more socialist" end then what we have now. And this theory isn't just about increased mobility, it's also about increasing the wage floor using a combination of tariffs and immigration controls at the expense of richer people.

Pretty sure there's nothing in OP about tariffs or wage controls.

The idea is to equalize everyone early in life and give them legitimately a good chance to succeed, to the point that if they don't, it's their own fault.

But this wouldn't stop a socialist from demanding a social safety net for people who fail on their own merits.

Socialists only favor economic mobility because they want to eliminate economic status, period. It's not about success or failure at all.
