Painting it as someone starting a business is a "dishonest hustler"

Then saying "It's hard to have a business". So it's not hard to wake up the same time 5-6 days a week and work 30-40 years at a job? :mjtf:

Then says "If your own family don't like your products, how do you expect other people to buy it?"
What kind of logic is that? I could buy and sell houses that my family thinks is ugly as hell, but if someone wants to be a customer in my Real Estate business, then who gives a fukk :skip:

That whole "It's easier to work than start a business" myth really gotta stop :why:

Starting and operating a business is HARD WORK. Very few people are built to be entrepreneurs and it is easier to work for a corporation than to sustain a business.

Lavar Ball is a bad example to use for this topic.

It is for most people though

Steady paycheck
Steady hours
Only having to deal with x% of the bullshyt of the business

Etc.

You telling me you'd rather run a hot dog stand and just scrape by until you're dead than be a six figure "worker" who lives comfortably and retires early? nikkas focus too much on titles. "I'm an entrepreneur :jawalrus:" So what? All that matters in the end is financial independence and peace of mind. Any path to get there is fine, be it employment, entrepreneurship or both :yeshrug:

This isn't to say the video isn't bullshyt- I can't see it and assume it is- but so is the worship of entrepreneurship (and a$$holes like LaVar Ball... being a successful entrepreneur isn't a blank check to treat people like shyt)

We live in a corporatist capitalist society - entrepreneurship has never been discouraged.

Entrepreneurs remind me of white Christians - they act as if they're a minoritized group as opposed to a bloc of healthy, highly-influential people.

His grandfather owned a drive-in restaurant, and both of his grandmothers were cooks. John and Levita ran a barbecue restaurant, Hickory House, on the south side of Oklahoma City for 37 years.

Since the time his sons were young children, John took Skip and Rick with him to work. Their duties progressed from cleaning tables to slicing vegetables.

"That was my fun," Rick said. "For my brother, it was torture."

"I hated it," Skip said. "I despised everything about that place. The flip side of the story is right away my brother, so to speak, ate it up."
Skip And Rick: The Fabulous And 'Complicated' Bayless Boys

I don't know why yall give a fukk or listen to a word that comes out this pencil neck's mouth. His grandparents and parents were entrepreneurs and by his own mouth son never supported the family business.

You know why Lavar makes him so upset :mjpls:

I'd rather run the show. I don't particularly like being told what to do or have to focus my energy on something that I don't want to work on.

Not knocking anyone who wants to be an employee. Hopefully my little venture blows up.

People need medical insurance for themselves and their kids. I'm sure a lot more Americans would try to start their own businesses but with no Universal healthcare system most people get medical/dental coverage through their employers. Also the risk of not having a steady income stream.

Lavar Ball is a horrible example. He tried to break into an industry that is already saturated and dominated by MNC's. He was trying to deliver a product that no one had tested/worn and sell it at a price point far above the average basketball sneaker (400 dollars my nikka?). There was no demand for this product.
