stop second guessing yourself.
maybe it was cool with her, maybe it wouldn't have been cool with the next chick. what matters is if it was cool to you. while getting the girl is what you want, being the real you should be more important than that objective.
to answer your question, you only took it too far if you didn't feel like it was you talking. if you feel like you were selling out when you said it (selling out in the sense that you just said it cause you thought she would like it and you yourself didn't like saying it) then in that case, you took it too far IMO. the rest is irrelevant. she'll feel how she feels about it. if she don't like it, who gives a fukk.
