All Puffy did, was add the modern version of himself to the team. The difference is that Kanye has actually manually created beats and Puff hasn't. Now the Hitmen has two visionaries capable of excelling the individual talents of the crew vs. only having Puff. Kanye is also capable of manually adding things and touching up beats. It makes sense and could work.
