People WOULD want them if our government wasn't basically just a shytty PR firm for big tech, oil, pharma and the banks.

A federal jobs program that included jobs for building electric vehicle charging stations would juice up the demand. If our government actually gave a shyt about climate change they'd egg on some big investments in building the infrastructure that makes electric vehicles worth it.

We should steal Asian and European ideas around this and get some people back to work. Especially black men who can't get full time work. Brehs could actually save up the money needed to go back to school or start up a business if the government was willing to hire and train people to manufacture, transport and install the infrastructure. It would juice up some local businesses too around these small towns that were built up around coal or oil that dried up.

Let's not forget the Biden administration literally forcing production of EVs, the tax credits(credits Elon benefitted from funny enough), and the executive orders. Those cars are sitting on dealership lots as we speak. Don't nobody want them shyts breh

Now there was a surge in EV purchases, but it wasn't congruent with how hard Biden went to move them shyts, and the overwhelming majority of those sales were Tesla's obviously. Those other EVs on the market could be amazing but they don't carry the branding weight that Tesla does(did)
