They ask you to do it for $1.75?
Some years go in Fall, I think it was in November, it was already getting dark early outside. I went out to my car parked on the street at night, and some lady was walking past on the sidewalk. It was cold and rainy that night, and she told me that she was walking home from work, and if I could give her a ride up the street the rest of the way because she was having trouble with her feet.
At the time her story was plausible because we are within walking distance of a bunch of fast food places, and it's not uncommon for people who work there to walk home if they live nearby.
I decide to give her a ride (bad choice) during the ride she was telling me how she was in a wreak and had to get stitches in her head(more on this later) and she has me pull onto some dark street (sus), before she gets out she ask if I have $5, and I immediately make the connection that this lady don't work no where, she a drug addict. So I give her $10 trying to hurry and get her out of my car, but she ask do I have another $20 I can spare, and she can give me some head, I refused and told her I had to go, and she finally got out of my car,
About those stitches, a couple weeks later I was reading some older news articles, and there was a story about a car accident in the same area she had me drop her off at, this white man (driver) passed away, and his female companion went to the hospital for a head injury. My town isn't that big, this was probably the same lady I gave a ride. She has probably been selling herself for drugs, and that white man was either getting high with her, or was a frequent "customer" of hers.
Never again, nope, no rides for strangers, worst case scenario, that could have been a disaster.
