Its a strong L for them. Hennessey won't eff with them (bad for the brand). But Henneypalooza is basically an uncompensated advertising platform for them.

Its no different then when rappers do all this free advertising for brands in their music and wonder why the don't get compensated worth a d@mn after the fact.

Bad business practice We have this issue in our community because we like shining more than we look good business and getting money.

I don't see how this is an L. No one walks into a liquor store and says "I want to buy something Black owned". Do you think the party would have taken off if they had used a less popular brand? You don't think "Hennypalooza" has a catchy ring to it that helps name recognition?
If Hennessy doesn't want to put their money & support behind a themed party that has been around for less than 5 years, I don't blame them.

Exactly, this isn't a L for either side. They know what they were doing when they called it Henny Palooza. They were riding the coat tails of a popular urban liquor for branding/marketing purposes. And Hennessey sponsors Nas and recently picked up Dave East, so it ain't nothing racial about it.

Hennessy isn't obligated to sponsor any event . . what if some violence happens? It makes sense for them to distance themselves from that

I went to the event they had here in Atlanta about 4-5 months back . It was just okay, I think if they get a better venue in Atlanta(no AC/hot as fukk), and better DJ's/performances. I think I paid like $25-30 and I can't lie I got my moneys worth as far as the Henn. Once you pay for entrance the drinks are free. I probably drank like a full bottle's worth. And there were several bad bytches in there. I had a tough ass little chocolate thing walk up to me and pop it off. I also ran into a chick that I dropped the ball with previously and redeemed myself. Hit ol chocolate the next morning and hit the other chick the next weekend. I'd go again.
