Kendrick is the poster boy for Interscope and they are promoting him as the hip-hop savior who's bringing back lyricism and people eating it up. Lyricism or authentic hip-hop is not being brought back...it's just a marketing ploy from his record label.
YUP. and these little internet kids are eating it up. just like they ate up his fictitious buzz when he was "unsigned". the sad thing is, when they write the history books, theyre gonna credit him for "bringing lyricism back". its disgusting.
that and his control verse was cheap heat. that was his way of getting his name buzzing in the streets. all the awards and hype for gkmc and he still wasn't really getting any street play, nor was he even a hot topic amongst the core rap audience. I know that chit has to eat a lot of these plants alive.
if you really the king, you wouldn't have to do a verse like that. you don't throw rocks from the throne. its supposed to be the other way around.
