The entire league took notice of how much better Jefferson got on Defense in 2013-14 & It wasn't by Scheme. Your acting like the Bobcats where running Syracuse 2-3 Zone to hid Al.

You know who played Atrocious defense the past 2 years it was Tyson Chandler.

Understand what a defensive scheme can do to hide the inept, unwilling, and incapable such as Al Jefferson. Even at center, the most important defensive position on the court, an outstanding coaching philosophy can cover the gaps.

His effort on the defensive end was a lot better than in previous years though

His effort was much better but he's just not quick enough, laterally or with his hands, to be a good defender.

It's weird because usually most players with great footwork tend to be great defenders.
