You know what’s so dope about this video. Judging by his age you can tell that when he was probably one of the few black kids that were into it. Now it’s becoming much more accepted and he gets to show the skills off finally lol

I'm 30 years old and I was skateboarding with 5 other black kids and some white boys on a daily basis in the year 2000 all the way thru my teen years. Everybody thought we were cool cuz we knew how to skateboard. Especially after the Tony Hawk games dropped.

Definitely depends on locale as to whether it was accepted or not . I think generally , it didn’t start getting widely accepted by black folks until late 2000s, early 2010s.
