It's not really possible. I think this kind of thread gets made a few times a year.

For it to work, everyone you send smilies to would need the app to even see them.

Think back when iPhones had emojjis and android didn't. That's how it would be if an app was developed. That's why it's kind of pointless.

The app can definitely be done. The only REAL hurdle is that at some point, if it become profitable, the people whose faces we are using are gonna want some compensation.

I don't think they could ask for compensation, it might fall under parody use.
