Washington Webber was a beast that was loved, then we made him a Mural :to:
We traded him for a broken muffler and he took a sorrier Sac team to the highest of heights, went toe to toe with Shaq n Kobe's Lakers, took them to the brink
Best playoff series I ever seen

Grant in college went to Duke, they won, but once he got to the NBA? He was good but his teams was never shyt. I don't ever recall thinking "Grant might win it all this year"
It wasn't til he was gone did the Pistons make their title runs but what do I know, I'm just a man Buddha :manny:

besides duncan who was better than him at PF throughout his career.

name who by the year. :francis:

KG & Dirk but they hit their stride when CW4 was declining.

That said he should get in even if his college career was effectively "erased".

One won a national title the other didn’t
One at his peak was arguably he best at his position the other was arguably no higher than top 3 at his position

They both should be in imo but what puts Grant over Chris is that Grant won 2 titles in college (1 of them against Webber) and then came back from that almost career ending ankle injury that he foolishly played through to help his team and still was an above average player when he easily coulda gave up and chilled with Tamia all day.

I personally think he shoulda pulled a kawhi and sat in that playoff series instead of destroying his ankle but he wasn't selfish like that and shyt like that matters to the voters.

Grant Hill deserves it. He was a triple double threat, cross whoever guarding him them dunk on whoever at the rim. He was special. HOWEVER, Webber was also a beast. Game 3 93 playoffs vs Suns is still one of the greatest playoffs games I'v ever witnessed. Resurrected Washington, breathed life into Sacramento and he wasn't even the same Webber then.

Mo Cheeks & Nash are the WTFs from this list.

ya i shoulda put in his prime. i do see the argument for KG, but dirk wasn't really in his prime till webber was winding down.

I'd put his 5-years peak as his 1st five in Sacramento (before ultimately suffering a career-altering injury in the '03 playoffs). If you take those 5 years as a whole, only Duncan was clearly above.

But then again, other than Duncan, you had Dirk & KG who were beginning to peak, Malone was getting older, Rasheed never reached his potential and players like Brand or Jermaine O'Neal weren't really in the convo for best 4.

I'd say KG surpassed him around 02, Dirk around 03. Both players had superior peaks imo and much more longevity to boot.
