Exactly. And with a tad bit of research they would know in his early career he wouldn't even state his race because of the treatment he received when he was young. He also said he learned about manhood from the black males in his neighborhood because they understood the plight of being an "other." And they were the ones that took him under their wings (if I'm not mistaken it was one of these men that helped him get out of the knucklehead life and on a better path). I don't know if he has since cleared up his race or background but that was enough for me to know he understood the struggle either way.
