Evidence is one of the few rappers who gets sharper album to album, his growth as an artist and lyricist has really been special and his style completely switched after his wife passed away.

His ear for production is amazing as well and he very rarely misses when picking beats that aren't his own.

Like others have said "Weather Or Not" is probably his most accessible album, the early work with Dilated shouldn't be slept on either. I've picked a couple of joints below that haven't been shared yet.

Don't sleep on his production either, he's produced great projects for alot of different artists.

Post an update after you listen to some stuff. IMO Ev is one of the best at talking about real life shyt and troubles, but spinning into something positive and not sounding emo or sad about it.

It sounds cheesy but his music has been real motivational and gotten me through a lot of family illness and other hard times.

His new single starts by saying “I make the music for me but I got You in mind”. That’s basically his major theme as a solo artist.

Honestly, this is a perfect summation of current Evidence.

I don't relate to a lot of what he's gone through, but he's very grounded and I like listening to him.

I relate more to Phonte, but Ev is like another side of the same coin

EV is one of those artists that has no wack projects, everything he has dropped is at least 4 mics IMO... Just depends which style of his you like.

For me, Weatherman LP is still my favorite album of his since it was my introduction to him as a solo artist and the memories I have associated with it. I just really love that mid 00's production and it has some of Alc's best beats during that period. It has also has some of his most personal songs like the song he made for his mom (very emotional and hard to listen to casually, but one of his best and most touching songs) and chase the clouds away. It also has alot of "concept" songs and I love the way it was sequenced, makes it an interesting listen. Finally, if you love scratching, this album is full of it and it's something I personally appreciate.
